Greg Nero, DPM, is a podiatric physician with a strong background in sports medicine and comprehensive foot and ankle care. Originally from Red Hook, New York, Dr. Nero brings an energetic and thoughtful approach to patient care, emphasizing conservative treatment while offering advanced options when clinically appropriate.
Dr. Nero earned his undergraduate degree from Fairfield University, where he played Division I basketball on a full athletic scholarship and received All-MAAC honors. Following a sports-related injury that shifted his career path from athletics to medicine, he pursued podiatry and earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.
He completed his residency training at HealthAlliance Hospital in Kingston, NY, gaining extensive hands-on experience in podiatric wound care, elective surgery, and trauma management. Dr. Nero has attended and presented at American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) surgical skills conferences and completed a mini-fellowship in podiatric dermatopathology at Bako Diagnostics.
Dr. Nero is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the New Jersey Podiatric Medical Society.
