Description of Trial:
A Prospective, Multicenter, Randomized, Controlled Clinical Study Of Affinity versus SOC In The Management Of VLUs
Protocol Number: 20-VLU-003-AFF
Synopsis: Ulcers which develop on the lower leg due to underlying varicose vein problems or long term swelling can be painful and difficult to heal. These ulcers can become infected, resulting in greater complications. Compression therapy is often helpful, however the addition of advanced skin graft type products has been demonstrated to accelerate the healing process. This trial utilized an advanced product compared to the standard of care compression therapy in the healing of these difficult wounds. All study related procedures and treatment is at no cost to the patient. Financial compensation for time and travel is offered. Medical/health insurance is not required.
